I'm having difficulty with step 2 of registration. What can I do?

There can be many reasons why you might not be properly identified by TransUnion, but here are a few of the most common reasons: 

Information doesn't match TransUnion records
Members occasionally have life changes, such as a new last name or new address, that may not yet be recognized by TransUnion. In this case, you could edit your full name and address to see if that helps.

Thin credit file
If you are relatively new to credit, you may not be easily identified by TransUnion even if you are entering all of your information correctly.  In this case, you may need to develop more credit history in order to create a Credit Sesame account. 

Too many attempts
If you've recently created accounts on other sites that rely on TransUnion credit data, you may be blocked for too many recent attempts. In this case, we recommend that you try again in 30 days.

You already have a Credit Sesame account
Credit Sesame only allows one account per Social Security number.  If you had an account in the past and you did not deactivate the account, we recommend requesting a new password by clicking the "Forgot Password" link on the login page and providing the email address registered to your account.
