What do I do if my stimulus check got deposited into someone else's bank account?

  Hi Ana Linares, If checks are sent to bank accounts that don't match the name of the person who is supposed to receive the money, the banks are supposed to reject the checks and send it back to the IRS. The IRS will then issue a check and mail it to the current address on file. If you would like to check the status of your check you can visit the IRS website or contact your local IRS office to inform them of the mistake. Please let us know if this information was helpful.
