Stimulus Check for SSI recipients
My grandma is a SSI recipient.
She hasn't filed taxes in years. How can she receive her stimulus check?

Hi Danny! I believe those who receive social security income will receive the stimulus payment, but it may take a little longer to arrive. The first round of stimulus payments has been sent to those who files taxes more recently. If your grandma receives her SSI payments via direct deposit, she will also get the stimulus payment that way. Hope this help!

Hi scott simonson. The good news is that non-fillers and assistance recipients will still get a payment, provided that they else wise qualify. This government site should help you find the specific information that applies to your situation: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payment-information-center
To check on the status of your payment, check out this IRS site: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment
We hope this will help. Best of luck to you, and please stay safe.
